In July 2011 PaR Systems, Inc. acquired SDI Lasers (Pty) Ltd, a premier designer and manufacturer of high repetition rate TE CO₂ lasers for a wide variety of applications, including paint stripping, annealing, wire stripping, LIDAR (atmospheric research and meteorology), Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) generations, isotope separation, high energy physics, THz imaging, and non-destructive inspection systems.
